Cadillac dealerships in Russia have begun accepting orders for a brand new Cadillac CT6. The world premiere of the novelty took place back in 2015, but only at the end of 2017 the car reached the territory of Russia. The basis for the new Cadillac CT6 is a structure mostly made of aluminum.
The dimensions of the new Cadillac CT6 correspond to a premium sedan: the length of the car is 5184 mm, the width of the sedan is 1879 mm, the height of the novelty is 1472 mm, and the wheelbase is 3109 mm. For Russia, the new Cadillac CT6 will be available only with a 3.6-liter V6 petrol unit and all-wheel drive. The power of such an engine is 335 horses, in order to transmit torque, the engineers installed an 8-speed automatic transmission. In addition, the buyer is offered two configurations of the sedan. The first Cadillac CT6 Luxury trim starts at RUB 3,990,000, the second Platinum version will cost from RUB 5,190,000. The Cadillac CT6 Luxury grade is installed on 19 ″ alloy wheels designed specifically for the novelty. The interior and seats are upholstered in genuine leather, while the center of the dashboard is adorned with a 10.2 ″ touchscreen display for the infotainment system. On a pleasant note, the Bose Premium audio system with ten speakers, 2-zone climate control, wireless charging, heating of the steering wheel and all seats, including the rear row, is mandatory.
In addition to heated seats for the Cadillac CT6, engineers also installed seat ventilation and a panoramic roof. Security systems include all-round visibility, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, road sign and pedestrian recognition, and lane control. The presence in the Cadillac CT6 of a system for determining the distance to the car in front has become mandatory, this is done in order to maximally protect all safety systems and avoid a collision.
The second grade of the Cadillac CT6 Platinum is mounted on 20 ″ alloy wheels and adaptive suspension. A significant difference from the previous configuration is the presence of a steering mechanism for the rear wheels, as well as the interior trim in Nappa leather. Instead of analog gauges for the dashboard, the engineers installed a digital dashboard based on a color display. The acoustics are better from the previous configuration, the Bose Panaray is installed with 34 speakers. To assist the driver, a night vision system, a head-up display, and two 10.2 ″ multimedia system displays for rear passengers are installed.
As it should be for the top-end configuration of the Cadillac CT6 sedan, climate control is 4-zone, as well as a collision avoidance system when driving in reverse. The main competitors of the new Cadillac CT6 in the Russian market will be the Genesis G90 (starting at 4,475,000 rubles), the premium Mercedes-Benz S Class sedan from 6,270,000 rubles, as well as the famous BMW 7-Series sedan at a starting price of 4,540,000 rubles. The most interesting thing is that the car has just reached Russia, but abroad they are already planning to show a restyled version of the sedan. Most likely it will be updated in the style of the new Cadillac Escalade, so as not to deviate from the style.
